This Privacy Policy explains how "Points Hero" ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information. As an application designed for families and children, we are strictly committed to complying with the Google Play Families Policy and the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

1. Information We Collect and How We Use It

Our application is designed to be a family engagement tool. We prioritize data minimization and only collect what is strictly necessary.

1.1 Data Provided by Parents / Guardians

  • Child Profiles: Parents or guardians may create profiles for their children within the app (e.g., nicknames, avatars/photos).
  • Task & Reward Data: Customized tasks, points records, and rewards created by the users.
  • Purpose: This data is used exclusively to provide the core functionalities of the app (tracking behavioral progress, assigning tasks, and redeeming rewards). We do not use this data for marketing, profiling, or targeted advertising.

1.2 Device Permissions (When explicit consent is granted)

  • Camera & Photo Library: If you choose to upload a custom avatar or reward image, the app will request access to your device's camera or photo library. The images are processed locally or securely synced to your family account. We do not access or scan your photo library in the background.
  • Internet: Used strictly for syncing family account data to our secure servers to ensure continuity across devices.

2. No Third-Party Tracking or Ads

  • No Advertisements: We do not display any third-party advertisements in our app.
  • Data Sharing: We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information or your children's information with third parties.

3. Third-Party Services

To facilitate basic app functionality (such as secure data transmission and local storage), we use standard, non-tracking frameworks (including Dio for secure networking and SharedPreferences for local offline settings). These SDKs are compliant with Google Play’s Designed for Families requirements.

4. Children’s Privacy (COPPA & Families Policy)

We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13 without verifiable parental consent.

  • The app is intended to be operated and managed primarily by parents or legal guardians.
  • Any child-related data (such as nicknames or avatars) is provided by the parent via the parental controls/setup process.
  • If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal data from a child without parental consent, we will delete that data immediately.

5. Data Retention & Deletion (Google Play Data Safety)

You retain full control over your data.

  • Data Deletion: You can permanently delete any child profile, task, reward, or your entire family account directly within the app's settings at any time.
  • Once deleted, the data is permanently erased from our active servers.
